About me…

Now a 20-something gun slinging City professional, I grew up in the beautiful Cheshire on the edge of the Peak District, as one of four (2 sisters and 1 brother) with two gorgeous labs and a pet ferret. Dad taught us all to shoot and fish from a young age and encouraged us to engage and get passionate about all things country.  I took a few years of getting settled in my career and then was ready to reconnect with my country roots.

However, getting back into shooting and fieldsports proved difficult in The Big Smoke until, one day, I stumbled across a ladies shooting club – The Shotgun & Chelsea Bun Club – I found my way back in to reconnect and have never looked back since!

I started writing this blog for two reasons. The first is that people seem interested (or bemused) at my contrast of city girl by profession but country girl by passion, so I thought I would shed some light on how you can stay involved in your fieldsports if you are based in London. Secondly, I want to pass on the knowledge, inspiration and titbits I have picked up along the way.
